This is a fun activity for your kid as he will enjoy poking different color straws in the holes provided on various objects. You need to give him some plastic objects with holes in them so that he can place straws in these holes. This activity is apt for the kids who fall under 2-3 years of age group and it is helpful in increasing their concentration level and fine motor skills as well.

Requisites: Colorful plastic straws, Any plastic bowl or cardboard boxes with holes in it, Any paper glass with plastic lid (You can make some holes in the lid with a pencil)

Steps:

1. Get some colorful straws for your kids and also find some plastic boxes or bowls with holes in their lids.

2. You can make holes gently with the help of a pencil on the lid so that your kid can get freedom to insert the straws in those holes.

3. Just observe the patterns which they make and also look at the color coordination that they choose to make it look attractive.

4. You can also use cardboard boxes as well and make holes on the top in a design or a pattern so that kids will get an idea about various shapes too.

Your kid will just love to form different patterns using different color of straws and you will also enjoy this activity with them.
