Learning to know the time and correctly telling it is a very important activity your child must learn. Simple steps and you can teach your child how to read a clock.

Requisites: Download a writing down time sheet from internet and a pencil.

Steps:

1. Tell your child how a clock functions and of the minute hand, hour hand and the second hand.

2. Teach him how to read time. Preferably use an analog clock for the same. Tell him how many seconds make a minute, how many minutes make an hour, etc. and take it slowly.

3. Now ask him to guess time daily for between 3-4 hours. Now after few days, give him the sheet and ask him to write down time in each picture below it and see how he guesses and learns. He will soon become proficient in reading time.

Go slow and allow your child to take his time. With time he will learn to understand and read time.
