Your child understands currency as he sees you buying things with it. To make him aware about India's currency as well as other countries currencies you can show pictures from books or any website. But if you want to combine fun with learning, this activity is the best.

Requisites: A globe, papers

Steps:

1. Take a globe and point our different countries and introduce the currency used there.

2. Take printouts of play money (both paper and coins) from around the world and go on shopping around the world!

3. Set up shops and choose from items your kid likes or anything around the house. Put price-tags on each item.

4. You can take turns with your kid to be store keeper of different countries.

5. Your kid may need help with counting and exchange rates so keep it simple by letting him buy or sell one thing at a time.

Learning to add and subtract, use and identify various currencies in coins and papers are some important skills your kid will learn thorough this activity.
