Now that your kid is 3-4 years old, she will begin to understand the concept of social skills. She will understand the meaning of sharing, listening, respecting others and calming her curiosity.
Requisites: Picture of cartoon aliens, some colorful popsicle sticks, glue, crayons.
Steps:
1. Let your kiddo choose a cartoon alien of her choice and then tell her to fill it with colors.
2. You need to be a part of this activity by choosing one for yourself.
3. Now paste the cutout of the alien to the popsicle stick.
4. Then you can teach your girl the concept of respecting each other’s personal space.
5. You can teach her concepts like ‘gentle hands’ which means getting someone’s attention not by hitting or shouting but by being gentle.
6. Explain that the aliens you both made together are space invaders. When you put your alien up this means that you need your own space to play in.
This activity is a perfect example of making your kid aware of social skills like listening and understanding the importance of a person's own space when needed.
