Teaching Simple Social Etiquette Activity

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

One of the key areas of building a socially acceptable behavior is through guests, especially the ones who frequently visit your home. Your child is already familiar with them, and thus conversing and mingling is seamless. Teaching your child some social etiquettes in front of guests will teach your child some pivotal points on socializing. Here are few that you can teach your child without much issue in the form of a linear activity step by step.

    Steps:

    1. Ask your child to greet guests who come over to your place. Greet with a smile or a handshake or Namaste (accordingly to your cultural norm).

    2. Make place for them to sit. Allow your guests to sit first and then make your own self comfortable. Ask your child not to jump and hop in front of guests.

    3. Teach your child to talk softly, be respectful and ask if he would need anything till elders join in.

    4. If there are kids, take them to your play area and have a good time

    5. Refrain from loud noise so that it doesn't disturb others.

    6. Drop them to the door, and a say 'bye' with a smile.

Introduce these simple manners and build a polish personality, on a whole. So, try it out soon!
