The Heart Tree!

Valentine Day is almost here now and this tree can be the best gift to your loved one. This activity is also the best to engage your kiddo for hours. Moreover, this will help your kiddo to develop his motor and creativity skills.

Requisites: A3 sheet of red cardboard, A4 sheets of red paper, pencil, scale, scissors, glue, sticky tape, a glass.

Steps:

1. Make a cone by placing the scale in the corner of the sheet of the red cardboard.

2. Now measure 30 cm along the top edge of the red cardboard and mark it with a pencil mark.

3. After that, shift the ruler very slightly and measure another 30 cm and mark it.

4. Keep marking at the 30 cm in an arc till you get a quarter of a circle.

5. Cut the quarter of the circle and roll the paper in the shape of a cone.

6. Make a template of the heart shape by just drawing it on a piece of a paper.

7. Now take as many sheets of red paper as you can cut through.

8. Lay the sheets on each other and trace the heart template on the top of the sheet paper.

9. Cut the multiple hearts at once in this way. Keep cutting the hearts till you get the number of hearts you require.

10. Stand the cone on the glass and start gluing your hearts with the pointy edge facing upwards on it as much as you like starting from the bottom.

11. Keep overlapping the hearts till the whole cone is covered properly.

Now your paper heart tree is ready. To place a glass is good idea if you are decorating your home but if you are gifting this to someone then you can simply place the cone shape hard cardboard in between. And also don’t forget to assist your kiddo in the cutting process.
