You can make your own and can also teach your kiddo how to french knit using homemade device, since now your little one's motor skills are fully capable of handling this activity.

Materials Required: A ball of wool, Masking tape, 4 paddle-pop sticks, An empty cardboard toilet roll

Steps (How to make a fancy Knitting Nancy):

1) Mark each paddle-pop stick at 2.5 cm from the top.

2) Apply tape on each paddle-pop stick in order to stick them on the toilet roll at regular intervals (with 2.5 cm sticking up at the top).

3) Secure the sticks with the tape.

4) Make the knitting Nancy look fancy by covering the body of your knitting machine with colourful paper.

Steps (How to French Knit):

1) Thread the end of wool down through the cardboard paper roll, so that about 5 cm should be there out from the bottom.

2) Now loop the wool around each stick.

3) Continue to loop the wool until you have two loops on each paddle-pop stick.

4) Pass the bottom loop over the top loop on each stick, and then pull down the thread to tighten the knitting.

5) Repeat the above process. After a few minutes you start getting a nice tail of knitting out of the bottom of your Knitting Nancy.

This is a recycled craft that will trigger the motor skills of your kiddo and also allows you to spend quality time with your sweetie.
