Contents
Steps:
1. You need a 2 litre plastic bottle, masking tape, foam cup,a stop watch paper, ruler and pen or pencil.
2. Help the child to make a three inches cut on the top of the bottle.Stick a masking tape on the outside of the bottle from the top to the bottom such that it is straight.
3.Place a foam cup on the top after making a hole in it. Pour sufficient water in the cup for a steady flow. Ask your kid to closely observe and take readings after every 30 seconds. Do this for 5 minutes and check if the levels are throughout equally spaced.
4. Repeat the activity, but this time take your reading after every minute.Make markings after every minute for the next five minutes. Compare the two readings.
Explain to your child how a second and a minute hand measurement differ. This is an easy activity to learn about Time. Hope you enjoyed it!
