Word Search game is a tried and tested approach that will help your child to: enhance vocabulary stock, improve in reading skills and polish cognitive skills - like attention, search skills and concentration power.

Contents

Requisites: Newspapers, notebook, pen and dictionary.

Steps:

1. Every day ask your child to read various pages of the newspaper and look for 10 new words.

2. Ask him to note down the ten new words in his notebook. Just keep a watch and ensure that he does not pick any unethical words or any word not suited to his age.

3. If he starts every Monday, on Friday he is enriched with 50 new words. Over the weekend, ask your child to pick 25 new words from the collected stock and look for the meaning.

The search goes on. This activity will help your kid to sharpen his language skills, searching power and will overall help him to use the words in appropriate places.
