Your Child Can Now Add, Subtract, Multiply And Divide

At this stage, your little one begins rapid development in numeracy skills. He can make the different mental and written strategies to solve the numerical problems. Your sweetie pie is 7 years old, and he might now solve the simple mathematical problems of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

 

 

At this point, you will notice that your kiddo might start counting and write up to 1000. He might also understand the concept that ten ones make 10 and ten tens make 100. Your kiddo might be using different strategies for combining the numbers, subtracting them or simply counting them.

 

You might notice your little one is simply adding the numbers to justify his multiplication skills or just to recognize the relationships between the numbers. He always needs you as a mentor. So it is okay to provide a number if he is struggling. This is a great way to understand that your little one is developing literacy and numeracy skills. It is also a positive sign that your sweetie pie is developing fine motor skills and heading towards the better mathematical skills.
