Making your infant behave in a social gathering is going to be tricky. Allow your child enough time to familiarize himself with the situation. Ensure that your guests behave with lot of positivity and smile around your child since that is going to impact your child's mood and behaviour as well. Give your little one time and don't force him for anything at all. In case you doubt his tendency to indulge in the social setting, make sure to take some of his favourite toys along in order to keep him distracted. Although, ensure that the toys you bring along are not noisy so as to avoid disturbing the guests.
This way the kid will not cry for attention and will remain distracted for a long time, allowing you enough time to socialise and interact with your guests without worrying too much about keeping your child company. Come what may, don't shout at your child to show your frustration. Take it easy and you would see your baby slowly getting accustomed to behaving well in social circles.
