Feeding a newborn is exciting, intimidating yet challenging experience for new moms. Does your little one fuss or get cranky during or after feedings? This is because some air bubbles get trapped in his little stomach when he feeds. These bubbles can make him uncomfortable and grizzly. By making your baby burp, you help him release those air bubbles and get comfortable. Burping frees up some room in your baby’s tummy and allows him to feed longer. It also help your baby refrain from colic and stop spitting frequently. Here are few tips for making your baby burp easily.

Here are some essential feeding tips you must follow for your little one:

    1. Make your baby burp after every feed.

    2. Hold him over your shoulder. Your baby's chin should rest on your shoulder as you support the baby with one hand. With the other hand, gently pat or rub your baby's back.

    3. Lay your baby face down on your legs. Support his chin and jaw with one hand. Pat or gently rub his back with the other hand. Make sure your baby's head isn't lower than the rest of her body.

    4. Hold your baby sitting up on your lap facing away from you. Support your baby's chest and head with one hand, the palm of your hand supports chin while you rest your arm on his chest. Use the other hand to gently pat your baby's back.

    5. If your baby seems fussy while feeding, stop the session and make him burp and then start feeding again.
