    • From this stage itself, you must start preparing yourself for your baby's teething phase. Most babies tend to drool while teething and the saliva on their face can result in painful rashes. It is important to keep their face clean and dry at this stage to avoid rashes. You can put a bib on your baby to catch the drool and prevent their clothes from getting soiled.

    • Drooling is otherwise also a common phenomenon in infants. The saliva that comes out of their mouth can leave their skin susceptible to unruly rashes because of excessive wiping. To prevent this make sure you have very soft baby skin friendly wipes handy. While wiping off the drool do not rub it off directly, instead pat it dry softly first.

    • A baby’s skin is extremely soft in the first few months and wiping constantly on the same spot can result in rashes on the spot despite a soft cloth. Put a bib on at all times to keep him from spoiling the clothes. The process of teething leads to sore gums which already agitate the baby, rashness will only make him more irritable.

    • Be patient with the baby during this period and keep the drool off his face as much as possible. Sometimes babies make drooling into a habit. By constantly wiping the drool you are also subconsciously sending a message to the baby that drooling is not a good habit.

    • This way, once the baby is in better control of his body he will understand not to allow saliva to drip out of the mouth ceaselessly.
