Head And Hair Care For Your Baby

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

Your child has a very delicate scalp at this stage. It is best to avoid soft hair brushes for your baby’s scalp as these can cause minor abrasions on your little one’s scalp. Always use the fleshy part of your fingers to massage and comb your little one’s hair. If your baby’s fontanel is still very soft, you need to be extra gentle while washing their head. Head and hair care are important aspects for your little one's hygiene.

Always consult a doctor before planning to use a comb for nurturing your little one’s hair. It is often advisable to avoid soft brushes as it might hamper your baby’s scalp at this young age. Check if your child’s fontanel is still soft, be careful and use your fingers to massage your baby’s hair slowly. While washing your infant’s hair, make sure you place him in an inclined position so as to avoid water to reach his eyes. Use a fresh towel to slowly dry your child’s hair.
