Never leave your child unattended near water bodies. These could include a filled bath tub, a child’s inflatable swimming pool, your storage water tank or a simple bucketful of water. Kids are naturally very attracted towards water to play with it, and their curiosity levels could be fatal for their life. An infant can drown in as little as 2 inches of water if they are face down, as they are unable to roll over. From the time the infants begin to crawl, they are attracted towards all things colourful and shiny. Water is both. It is a natural phenomenon for the infant to crawl towards a water body as it appears to be extremely fascinating to them, and thus, your little one is no different when it comes to this.

While it is a very beneficial exercise for infants to get friendly with water, it is necessary that they are not left unattended. The splashing and the shower can excite them into moving closer to the water body and even the slightest carelessness can lead to them to slipping over or into it. To avoid such a situation, it is imperative that you keep an eye out when your infant is nearing any water body.
