As your baby grows older, his little hands and fingers start to grab at everything around, and this is the perfect time for you to start developing his fine motor skills. A great way to do this is by providing toys of different shapes, and also which are interactive so that your little one can actively engage with them.

For example, you can get colorful rings that your kid can stack on to a pole, or large stacking blocks which he can use to build a wall or tower. Such activities improve eye-hand coordination, spatial understanding, and motor skills. For quiet play times, you can get board books with colorful pictures, and soft toys of different shapes and sizes.

Ensure that all the toys are safe for your baby with no sharp corners or edges. In case of soft toys, be sure that there are no holes where the soft stuffing can come out as your baby might try to put it in his mouth.
