Diet and nutrition are the most critical elements for the healthy growth of your little one. This is the time when all her vital organs are developing – brain, teeth, etc. You need to keep a very close watch on her diet and monitor everything she is consuming. The food habits that you inculcate in her today will remain with her for life.

    Try to incorporate as much as healthy food as possible into your kid’s diet. She should have three helpings of fruit and vegetables every day. Enhance her healthy growth by providing plenty of wholegrain, protein and dairy products.

    Your child may be very choosy about her food. Avoid any arguments or confrontations, otherwise she may become even more stubborn about eating what you provide. Instead, explain to her why it is important to eat healthy. Make the food appetizing so that it is more acceptable to her. For example, make smoothies from fruits, grate veggies into parathas, or prepare baked potato wedges instead of French fries.
