Here are some ways of dealing with it:

    1. Apprehension and fear might be a predominant aspect of this condition. She will be scared and confused as to what she is feeling. In these situations, be patient and soothing to help calm her down and reduce the level of apprehension and anxiety that she is experiencing. Singing soothing rhymes and creating a calm, stress free environment helps a lot in helping her calm down.

    2. On the other end of the spectrum, she might not react to a set of stimuli in an appropriate manner or acceptable extent. In these situations, try to stimulate your child to respond in the required manner by making sounds or hand gestures that incite a reaction in the child.

    3. The reactions that she has are often very different from what we recognize as normal. Remember that your child has difficulty in understanding how to react to these stimuli. Being co operative, patient and empathetic is very important in better dealing with this condition.
