Eating with friends is better than watching TV during meals

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

As you teach your child the benefits of a healthy diet, it is important to inculcate healthy habits during mealtimes as well. Habits imbibed at this age will last your child a lifetime, and will affect his long-term health and well-being.

One very vital rule to establish is no gadgets at mealtimes. Avoid letting your child watch television or play with electronic gadgets while eating as it affects his appetite. No gadgets will allow your kid to concentrate on his food and enjoy it more, and as he grows up, this will help him remain conscious of what he is consuming.

Offer agreeable alternatives to your kid as he eats his meal. Whenever possible, let the child sit with a sibling or friend of his age group while eating, as kids enjoy eating together, and this also promotes social bonding.
