Follow Correct Pre-Bedtime Procedures

Your growing child at this stage needs proper and plentiful sleep to allow his body to develop most effectively. So you need to create a soothing and pleasant atmosphere which is conducive to sleep, before his bedtime. Avoid any boisterous or excitable activity, shouting or noisy arguments by family members, which can disturb him psychologically and in turn, hamper his sleep.

    Your kiddo cannot sleep on an empty stomach. So make sure he has had a healthy and filling dinner. Do not allow any junk food before bedtime. Chocolate contains caffeine, and sweet treats can give them a sugar rush, both of which are detrimental to sleep.

    Do not allow use of any gadgets or any TV watching before bedtime, as these are proven to disrupt kids’ sleep. Even cartoons are not advisable, as the frantic and rapid movement of the cartoon characters can overstimulate your kid’s mind, preventing his brain from settling down to rest.
