Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

Firstly, you need to prepare yourself for your child’s questions. Therefore, it is important that you brush up your information about pediatric anesthesia and its types- local, regional, conscious and general anesthesia, which are all used for different purposes. To ensure that the 6 or 7 year old isn’t scared, you will have to explain to the child beforehand and know different things about the procedure.

For instance, the doctor’s orders needs to be followed so that the child doesn’t eat or drink anything for the required period. Similarly, you will have to ensure that blood thinners are avoided and any dietary supplements are stopped, unless the doctor instructs otherwise.
