Guiding Your Kid Towards Problem-Solving With Different Approaches

Problem solving is one of the most important skills that your child needs to learn at this stage. Most often it happens that you may help out your child in all the possible ways so that his life becomes smooth and easy. But then, in realty, that may not be the right thing to do.

Your child must learn to help himself. At least he must be given ample opportunities to try to solve his own problems, no matter how easy or difficult they may seem. This will enhance his self confidence significantly and also give him an understanding of what and how things need to be done. Encourage your child to think. Correct him where he goes wrong. Help him, but don’t do it for him.

Refrain from ridiculing or reprimanding him for any misjudgement or wrongdoing. That may hamper his self esteem and it can damage his personality for present and the future as well.
