Help Your Kid Be Ready For Peaceful Slumber With Proper Bedtime Routine

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

At this stage, your child is spending a lot of his energy in day to day tasks and as a result of that, he needs proper and adequte rest regularly. In order to ensure that your child gets a good night’s sleep, you need to follow a regular bedtime routine every night. For example, a typical night routine could comprise of brushing teeth, washing hands and face, changing into pyjamas, and reading a bed time story. Over time your kid will learn to associate this routine with bed time, which will help his body to adjust to sleep more effectively.

Make the routine interesting by creating a task chart for each day of the week. As each task is completed, let your child put a smiley on the chart for that day. If the chart is successfully completed for the entire week, your child gets a small treat, like his favorite chocolate.

Be sure to take your child’s inputs while creating the routine, so that he feels involved and is more motivated to follow it. Also remember to allow some flexibility for weekends and holidays.
