Let Your Kid Interact With His Group Of Peers Independently

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

Your little one's social skills transform at this point. You want your child to initiate social interactions with his friends. The ideal way is to provide plenty of opportunities to him where he interacts with different children. This way he starts to see others having their opinions, feelings and he develops empathy for them. This boosts his social intelligence.

In these interactions, your child may experience jealousy, happiness, sadness, anger. Help him deal with these feelings. You can read books on friendship and emotions or just listen to him when he is upset. One good thing now is your child is able to communicate his feelings better than before and is less arguing than a toddler. He will be better in taking turns and sharing, thereby engaging in cooperative play, as he is able to see things from other’s perspective. This social maturity will help him handle interactions with peers better.
