At this stage, your child's eye hand coordintion as well as motor skills are flourishing at a quicker pace than before. It’s a good idea to make your child exercise his fingers for a better grip on the door handle. Teach by demonstrating and let your child observe you carefully.
Be very careful that he does not get his hand or fingers stuck in the door opening. This is the correct age when you can teach your little one more about fine motor skills. Start with simple tasks such as opening and closing a door. Select a time during the day when your little one is in a happy mood.
Offer a step by step demo so that he can grab the knowledge at ease. The perfect use of fingers should be taught so that safety is ensured. Once this art is perfected, you can start with teaching him about mending shoe laces. Always encourage your little one by chanting his name, this will surely boost up his confidence to perform efficiently.
