Teach Your Child The Difference Between Confidence And Over-Confidence

At this point, your child is ready to learn some basic things in life, one of which is the difference between being confident and overconfident. There is a very thin line between confidence and over confidence. And that line matters all through our lives. For your child at this age, garnering confidence is something that will take him far. It is important that he learns and does things with his own capability.

Stand by him and support him as much as possible. But then, never go on to do anything on his behalf. Let your child learn to do things on his own. This is an amazing way of making him feel that he is indeed capable of doing several things and that he should keep on doing so.

So, ensure that your little one is always given tasks that makes him learn new things. Appreciate, praise and move ahead so that he doesn’t feel overconfident too. It is okay to be appreciative but keep even that within the limits, because otherwise your child will develop a lot of arrogance and overconfidence, which will be bad in later stages of his life. With such efforts, your little one will surely grow up to be a confident and self-sufficient kid one day.
