As your child grows older, you will observe changes in her temperament. That sunny, gurgling little baby has grown up, and now you may occasionally be confronted by an angry, sulky child who can throw tantrums at the drop of a hat. You must handle the situation with a lot of patience.

If your child is being rude or adamant, a good remedy is to send her for a time-out, where your kid is instructed to be alone in a quiet place for some time. It is natural for you to get worked up too along with your child, so note that this time-out is to cool yourself off as well as your kid and to gain self-control.
The time-out is not to be considered as a punishment. It gives your kid time to cool down, and reflect over what she may have done wrong. It also helps you to calm down and hence deal with the situation better.
