If your child is diagnosed with DCD or Dyspraxia, then it is better to break down each activity into smaller parts and then help him practice it regularly. This makes it easier for him to able to learn the activity rather than taking the activity as a complicated whole.

    DCD is not easy to deal with yet with comprehensive therapies it can be dealt with in a much cohesive way. While you need to do a lot of things at home, but it is always better to seek professional help in dealing with this issue. If your child is affected by DCD, then he will need to be shaped up with a lot of care and therapies. Occupational therapies, Speech therapy and Motor training are some of the areas that needs extensive training by experts.  Even though many things needs to be done at home by parents, the help and training by the therapists and experts cannot be undermined. So if your child is suffering from DCD , along with everything that you will do at home, please seek expert help too.
