You Can Substitute Milk For Other Healthy Foods As And When Required

At this stage, as much as your child needs milk for her proper growth, at times, she may be fussy with milk and not want to take it. Good news is, there are always equally health substitutes for milk. Drinking too much milk can deter your child from eating other healthy foods. So don’t go overboard with the milk!
If she's bored of drinking milk, you can offer homemade curd or lassi for a change. If your child has a milk allergy, you can meet her needs with other alternatives such as soya milk. Overdoing anything can harm the child. While milk is a healthy source of several nutrients, only milk is not enough for a holistic growth in the long run. Do not allow your child to form a habit of replacing food for milk.
Fix her milk timings and make sure that they do not collide with her primary meals such as lunch and dinner so that she has a fine balance of solid food and milk. You can also offer her other alternatives of milk products such as curd or buttermilk to bring about a fresh and healthy change from the routine. If you find that your child is lactose intolerant then soya milk is a healthy alternative and an equally good source of calcium and protein.
