Sunscreen is really important for your child as the radiations are very harmful to your little one's tender skin. Choosing the right sunscreen for your child can be very confusing because of the various choices you have these days. Make sure you follow these guidelines before you make a purchase.

1. There are so many varieties of sun protection for children. There are creams, lotions, sprays, sticks and oils. Choose the one that agrees most with your child, depending on the kind of place you live in or the kind of place you are going to visit.

2. Make sure the sunscreen you choose has SPF of minimum 30 for every day use and higher for hotter weather. If you are going to a beach, make sure the sunscreen has a minimum SPF of 50.

3. The sunscreen your child should use must protect his skin from both UVA and UVB radiation.

4. Ensure that it is also water resistant if your child is going to be playing in the water. Remember to wipe your child's body and reapply the product all over the exposed area.

5. Always wash the sunscreen off at the end of the day. It may protect your child from harmful radiations but it does contain a few chemicals for it to function the way it does.

6. Make sure you read the ingredients. Your ideal sunscreen shhould not contain any parabens or oxybenzone. These are harmful chemicals are definitely supposed to be avoided.

7. Sunscreen is not only meant for summers. It should be used throughout the year, even in the winter because the radiations are always present.

Financial Literacy for a Secure Future

As your child grows, every moment becomes an opportunity to nurture their curiosity about life. Why not introduce them to practical lessons that will shape their future? Concepts like saving, budgeting, and planning aren’t just about money—they’re about building a life of security and stability.

Take life insurance policies, for example. Rather than viewing it as a complex financial product, you can explain it as a promise to protect families and secure dreams. By planting these seeds of knowledge early, you’re giving your child the tools to grow into a confident and responsible adult who understands the value of financial planning. Teaching your child about practical tools like term insurance, such as 1 crore term insurance, can be one of the great lessons. Demonstrating how a term insurance premium calculator works may help your child learn the importance of planning, with explanations adjusted for their age and understanding.
