    1. Avoid outdoor games during midday. if it is not possible to avoid outdoor games in daytime ar all, seek shade under a tree, a canopy, or an umbrella for outdoor activities.

2.Opt for SPF (Sun protection Factor) clothing. Cover her up with long-sleeved shirts and long pants or skirts. Darker colors may offer more protection than the lighter colours.

    3. Go for hats that shade the entire head, scalp, face, ears and neck.

    4. Encourage your sweetie to wear sunglasses to protect her eyes from UV rays. Look for sunglasses that wrap around and block both UVA and UVB rays as close to 100%.

    5. Select a sunscreen lotion of a reputed brand, child-friendly with SPF over 30 for better protection. Experts recommend using mineral rather than chemical sunscreen with ingredients, such as, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. Make it a habit to step out of the house only after applying the sunscreen lotion generously. It is safer to apply 30 minutes before going outdoors.

Please remember that sunscreen is not meant to allow your sweetheart to spend more time outdoor. Keep sun protection handy either in your vanity, car, or child's satchel.

    6. Mandatorily, always wash off the area where the sunscreen lotion was applied on your child once she is indoors again.

Warning: Look for the expiry date while buying the sunscreen lotion and also discard the ones, which have gone past the expiry date.
