Some of the common postpartum health issues are constipation, soreness in vagina, mood swings, bleeding, pelvic bone problems. But there are some concerns that requires immediate attention like chills, fever, blurred vision, sore breasts, heavy bleeding, shortness of breath, foul smell in the vaginal discharge, vomiting, depression, abdominal pain, difficulty in urinating.
These symptoms are sign of infection in your body and this needs to be treated immediately or else it will cause a lot of problem for you and your baby. Even you need to check your breasts while you are breastfeeding your baby, if you see any red streaks on your breasts then this is a sign of infection in your breast tissue.
Heavy bleeding is also serious and it effects 5 percent of women who give birth. This causes a big drop in your blood pressure and your organs will not receive enough oxygen. You need to check your C-Section incision as well for any kind of swelling or redness or discharge as this will be a sign of infection and you need to see your doctor immediately. If you experience pain, discomfort or tenderness in your legs then this might be because of the blood clot and you need to take advise from your doctor for the same.
