It’s your 31st week of pregnancy! Your baby is now in a curled up position snugly inside your womb. With growth in size, your baby is probably crowding your lungs, so you might find yourself a little short of breath on a brisk walk or after a climb up the stairs.

At this point, your little one can turn head from side to side and is also moving quite a bit, to the extent that your baby may be keeping you up at night. Your baby may be extremely lively – wriggling, stretching and kicking so much now that you might even see your bump move, especially when you’re relaxing in the bath. You will start noting more defined patterns of movement and rest, as a result of your baby sleeping for longer stretches of time.

Worried that your baby is getting bored in there?

Far from it – your little one is full of antics! Cushioned in cosy sanctum, making faces, hiccupping, swallowing, breathing, pedaling with little hands and feet along your uterine wall and even sucking the thumb.

Your baby will put on another 1-2 kilos this month, and in just nine weeks, your baby will be ready for a face-to-face meeting with you.
