Apple and Plum Jelly

You must give a try to this ‘no pectin jelly’. Apple and Plum Jelly is naturally prepared without agar, gelatin or pectin. Plums are loaded with antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, while apples are a good source of vitamin C.

    Ingredients to make Apple and Plum Jelly:

    2 cups plums, 2 cups apple cubes, 3 cups water, 2½ cups granulated sugar.

    Steps to make Apple and Plum Jelly:

    1. Wash apples and cut into cubes without peeling or coring.

    2. Do the same with plums. Add apples and plums with water in thick bottomed pan and boil with a lid. Reduce the flame and simmer until the fruit is soft.

    3. Strain the juice through layers of cheesecloth on a strainer.

    4. Pour 3 cups of juice in a pan and add sugar, stir to dissolve the sugar completely.

    5. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and ladle them into pudding/ jelly moulds and let it cool down to set.

    You will enjoy this nice tart apple flavour with plum overtones.
