Here's a healthy snack to make your evenings interesting. Serve this delectable Basil Pesto Hummus which is loaded with healthy vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates.

2 cups boiled chickpeas, 4-5 garlic cloves, ¼ cup of pine nuts, 1 cup of basil leaves, ½ cup olive oil, ¼ cup of grated cheese, 2 tbsp of lemon juice, salt to taste
1. Blend together basil leaves, garlic, Parmesan and pine nuts. Add the olive oil a little at a time, and continue blending until all the ingredients come together.
2. Add the chickpeas and salt, and blend again until smooth.
3. Add the lemon juice, mix well and serve with pita bread.
