Try out this delicious murabba, which is good for heath and also a natural coolant keeps the stomach and body cool. Bel helps to give relief from constipation, indigestion, peptic ulcer, piles, respiratory problems, diarrhea, and dysentery. It also boosts the immune system, fights off bacterial and viral infections.

Ingredients to make Bel Murabba:

1 kg ripe bel fruit, 1 litre water, 1 kg sugar, and 3 gms cardamom seeds

Steps to make Bel Murabba:

1. Wash bel under running water to remove dirt. Let them dry and clean well with cotton cloth.

2. Peel off outer layer of bel fruits and chop on round slices.

3. Add small amount of water to the pan and then insert the steamer basket. The water surface should not touch to the steamer basket.

4. Boil the water,when steam starts coming out to the steam basket, scatter bel slices over the steamer basket. Cover the steam basket and let it steam cook for 5-10 minutes or until bel slices become soft and tender. After that remove bel slices from the steam basket.

5. Prepare the sugar syrup by adding sugar in water. Boil it to dissolve the sugar. Cook it further until sugar syrup is prepared. It may take up to 20- 30 minutes.

6. Now, add cardamom seeds in sugar syrup and mix well.

7. Finally add bel fruit slices in sugar syrup and turn off heat.

Your Bel Murabba is ready to use. Store it in an airtight glass container.
