Bread Bonda

Whole grain bread is one of the richest sources of carbohydrate that provides energy for day-to-day activities, while butter is a good source of healthy fat. Gram flour, more popularly known as besan is a highly nutritious food, which provides us with lots of health benefits. Owing to its high protein content, it can be easily consumed by vegetarians to fulfil their protein needs. All of us have had the pleasure of tasting the different yummy dishes made with besan as it is a favourite ingredient for many Indian homemade healthy snacks option. Yummy Bread Bonda is one among them, which is prepared in minutes and your kiddo would love it.

    Ingredients to make Bread Bonda:

    Besan-1 cup, water-1/4 cup, slices of bread-4, coriander leaves-few, turmeric powder-½ tsb, oil-1/4 cup, salt-to taste and red chili powder-1/4 tsp

    Steps to make Bread Bonda:

    1. In a large bowl take besan, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and minced corriander leaves. Mix well and add water to make a thick batter.

    2. Heat oil in a pan. Dip the bread slices in the batter and keep on the pan.

    3. Fry both the sides till it becomes crispy and brown.

    4. Drain oil on absorbent paper.

    Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
