Budha Chakuli

This one is an age old Oriyan pitha recipe with a taste of banana and coconut is perfect to start your child's morning. The ingredients are rich in calcium, carbohydrates, and protein.

    Ingredients to make Budha Chakuli:

    1 cup rice, ½ cup black gram, 1 tbsp refined oil, salt to taste, ½ cup molasses, ½ cup grated coconut, 1 ripe banana

    Steps to make Budha Chakuli:

    1. Wash and soak rice and gram seperately. Grind the rice and gram into a fine paste and then mix together.

    2. Add salt to it. Add little water to make a fine batter.

    3. Now add grated coconut, 1 mashed banana aand molasses and mix well.

    4. Heat tawa and medium flame, grease it with oil and pour a spoon full of batter on it. Keep it small in size like pancakes.

    5. Sprinkle oil, cover it and then flip it and cook from both sides.

    Serve the hot and yummy sweet Budha Chakuli.
