Chana Patties

Nutritious Chana Patties are the perfect snack time meal. The chickpeas are rich in protein making it compulsory to include in a vegetarian's diet.

    Ingredients to make Chana Patties:

    Boiled chickpeas/Kabuli chana - 1 cup, rice flour - 4 tbsp, garam masala - 1⁄2 tsp, turmeric - a pinch, 1 chopped onion, salt - as needed, oil for frying, 1⁄2 tsp black pepper

    Steps to make Chana Patties:

    1. Take a pan, heat 1 tsp oil, add chopped onion and saute it. Add turmeric powder, garam masala and saute it.

    2. Mash the boiled chickpeas in a bowl. Transfer the onion masala in chickpeas bowl.

    3. Mix rice flour, salt, black pepper and make a soft dough.

    4. Make small balls and press them to make patties.

    5. Heat oil in kadhai and cook the patties from both sides on medium flame till golden brown.

    Serve these yummy Chana Patties with mint chutney.
