Chana Sandwich

Chana Sandwich is a delicious recipe that you can prepare for breakfast. It is protein rich and nutritious since fresh veggies are also added into it. It is considered good to introduce lentils or legumes because of their high protein and fiber content. Moreover veggies like carrots and beets are rich in Vitamin A, C, iron and other minerals.

    Ingredients to make Chana Sandwich:

    4 bread slices , ½ cup boiled chickpea, garam masala powder as needed, salt to taste, 2 tbsp grated carrot, 2 tbsp grated beetroot, 1 tbsp shredded cabbage, 2 slices onions, 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, butter as needed

    Steps to make Chana Sandwich:

    1. Mix all the veggies(except onions), boiled chickpea, salt and garam masala in a bowl.

    2. Trim the edges of the bread and apply butter on one side of the bread.

    3. Put the prepared mixture followed by onion slices and place another bread slice on it.

    4. Grease your toaster or griller with some oil and keep the sandwich in it. Your nutritious chana sandwich is ready.

    Cut it into two pieces and serve warm.
