This one is a famous traditional recipe for your child if he loves to binge on halwa. He will cherish this mouth-watering dish, which is rich in fibre and has a strong immunity boosting power.

2 cups grated coconut, ½ cup sugar, 1 cup maida, 1 tsp cardamom powder, 1 cup milk, oil for frying
1. Add grated coconut ain a kadhai and dry roast on medium flame while stirring continuously.
2. Add milk and cook till coconut absorbs all the milk.
3. Add sugar, cook, and stir continuously. Keep stirring and cook till the halwa is dry and most of the water is evaporated.
4. Add cardamom powder and cook again. When the mixture is completely cooked n dry remove from heat and let it cool.
5. Knead a smooth dough using maida, 1 tbsp ghee, and water. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
6. To make the pooris, divide the dough in balls n roll out each to poori. Fill one half side of the circle with the halwa.
7. Seal the other half tightly and crimp edges. Heat oil in kadhai and deep fry the pooris on medium low flame.
Serve the pooris hot.
