Grated Paneer (Cottage Cheese) - 250 gm, Potato - 2 (Boiled), Ginger – 1” piece (grated), Salt - to taste, Cornflour – 2 tbsp, Oil - To fry the Kofta. For Curry: Tomato – 2 chopped, Ginger – 1”piece grated, Oil - 1 table spoon, Cumin seed - 1/4 spoon, Turmeric powder - ½ tsp, Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp, Cream - ½ cup, Water - 1 cup, Garam Masala - ½ tsp
1. Mix paneer, potato, ginger, cornflour and salt to make a dough. Form small balls from the mixture.
2. Heat oil and deep fry the koftes. Keep aside.
3. In another pan, heat oil. Add all the spice powders and saute for 1 min.
4. Add tomatoes and fry for 3-4 minutes. Add cream and cook till oil is released from the masala.
5. Add the water. Once it boils, add garam masala and salt.
6. Put the koftas in the gravy and simmer covered, for 5 minutes. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
