Does your kid have a sweet tooth? Make him something tasty yet healthy with our recipe for Dudhouri! This is loaded with nutrients such as carbohydrates from the rice as well as protein and calcium from the milk.

1 cup rice, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup refined oil, 1 litre milk, 1½ cups water, 1 tsp powdered green cardamom
1. Boil milk in a thick pan. Wash the rice and add to the milk. Cook on medium flame till it becomes dry.
2. Allow it to rest for a while and then blend into a paste.
3. Make cylindrical balls of the mixture and deep fry them. Keep aside.
4. Make sugar syrup using 1 cup water and sugar. Add elaichi powder to it. Add all the balls to it and let them rest for some time.
Serve hot or cold.
