Easy Badam Barfi

Here is an easy, quick, and simple sweet to treat your child in achieving a milestone. Easy Badam Katli or Barfi is highly nutritious with the richness of almonds loaded with vitamins, magnesium, copper, and phosphorus.

Ingredients to make Easy Badam Barfi:

1 cup badam (almonds), 1 cup hot water, 1 tsp. milk to soak 5 -7 strands of saffron, 1 cup jaggery/sugar, 1 tsp, cardamom powder.

Steps to make Easy Badam Barfi:

1. In a large bowl, soak badam in hot water for an hour.

2. After an hour, peel the skin from the badam and keep aside.

3. Pat dry the badam making sure there is no moisture in them.

4. Blend the badam to fine powder.

5. Prepare the sugar syrup in a heavy bottomed pan by adding 2 tbsp. of water on low flame stirring constantly.

6. Boil the sugar syrup till it forms one string consistency.

7. Now add the ground badam, saffron milk and cardamom powder and continue to stir constantly till the mixture starts to leave the pan.

8. Transfer the badam dough onto the butter paper and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.

9. Grease your hand with little ghee and knead for a minute.

10. Once you get smooth dough, roll the dough with a rolling pin. Cut the dough into diamond shape or your desired shape.
