Egg Cheela

Egg Cheela is a high protein dish, which is made using egg, rice and urad dal. Rice provides carbohydrates too. Flavour this cheela with carrot and onion, both of which are a good source of vitamin and minerals and make this delicious breakfast/snack preparation.

    Ingredients to make Egg Cheela:

    2 cups rice, ½ cup urad dal, 1 egg, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 2 tsp oil

    Steps to make Egg Cheela:

    1. Wash and soak the rice and urad dal separately for 4 hours.

    2. Grind to a smooth batter. Add beaten egg and give a good whisk.

    3. On a hot tawa, pour a spoonful batter and spread evenly.

    4. Top it with grated carrot and onion.

    5. Drizzle 1 tsp oil on top and sides.

    6. Cook for 2 minutes till one side turns golden brown. Flip and cook the other side too. Healthy, crisp and delicious egg cheela is ready for your baby.

    Serve it for breakfast or evening snack!
