Cook a healthy lunch or dinner for everyone today with this interesting recipe. Garam Masala Rice uses whole spices, which are loaded with antioxidants, iron, Vitamin C, iron, Vitamin B6, magnesium and calcium and is a treat to the tastebuds.

Ingredients: 1 ½ cups of rice, 4-5 cups of water, salt to taste, 1 tablespoon of ghee, a pinch of salt, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 2 inches of cinnamon stick, 7-8 peppercorns, 2 star anise, 5 cloves, ½ of a mace, 5 greed cardamoms, 1 black cardamom, 2 bay leaves, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 medium onion thinly sliced, 1 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves.
Steps:
1. Cook the rice with salt for 15-20 minutes. Drain off the water and set aside for cooling.
2. Heat ghee in a pan and add the onions, garam masala and whole spices to it. When you can smell the aroma, add the rice and stir well.
3. Remove from flame and serve on a plate with a garnishing of chopped coriander leaves.
