Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of vitamin A (in the form of beta-carotene). They are also a very good source of vitamin C, manganese, copper, pantothenic acid and vitamin B6. Additionally, they are a good source of potassium, d ietary fiber, niacin, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and phosphorus. They have more grams of natural sugars than regular potato but more overall nutrients with fewer calories. Sweet potatoes may help maintain a healthy blood pressure as your child grows. Genasu palya is south Indian dish made of sweet potato. It is very tasy and simple to cook dish, which makes mothers fall in love with this dish.

Sweet potato-5 small, turmeric powder-½ tsb, grated coconut-1/4 cup, coconut oil-1 tsb, salt-to taste, and dry red chillies-1
1. Wash the sweet potatoes. Cook them in a pressure cooker by adding required water.
2. Once they are cooked, peel and chop them.
3. Next take oil in a frying pan and heat it. Add red chilies.
4. Add grated coconut and turmeric powder.
5. Next add in cooked and chopped sweet potato. Also sprinkle the salt as per your taste. Give a quick mix.
Switch off the stove. Serve it as snacks or serve it with hot steaming rice or chapathi.
