The aroma of ginger and garlic with added spices makes this chutney a perfect dip for your paranthas and roti. It has got richness of coconut oil and also has a sweet and spicy flavor of jaggery and other spices.

½ cup fresh ginger, 10 garlic cloves, 10 gm jaggery, 1 tbsp coconut oil, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp urad dal, ½ tsp chana dal
1. Peel and wash the garlic cloves and also peel the skin of the ginger and cut it into small pieces.
2. Keep a tawa on medium flame and add coconut oil to it.
3. Now add chana dal, urad dal, salt, ginger pieces, garlic cloves and jaggery.
4. Saute on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
5. Now switch off the gas and let the mixture cool down.
6. Blend them all in a blender till you get a smooth paste. You can temper the same with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
Enjoy this chutney with roti or parantha.
