Ginger Cream Brulee

This Ginger Cream Brulee is luscious and makes a divine tart filing. It will become your's one of the all-time favourite desserts. Ginger is a good source of vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium.

    Ingredients to make Ginger Cream Brulee:

    3 egg yolks, 1 cup heavy cream, ¼ cup fresh ginger root cut into small pieces, ½ cup sugar, 1 vanilla bean. 2 tbsp. granulared sugar to caramelise

    Steps to make Ginger Cream Brulee:

    1. Whisk egg yolks and the sugar until they are well mixed.

    2. Put the cream, ginger and the vanilla bean in a pan and heat until the mixture bubbles. Take care not to boil. Set aside for few minutes for the flavour of ginger and vanilla to brew.

    3. Gradually pour the ginger cream mixture into egg mixture stirring constantly.

    4. Divide the mixture equally into ramekins and place them in a shallow baking dish filled with water to half the level.

    5. Bake them at 350℉ for 30 minutes or until set.

    6. After they are cooled, sprinkle the granulated sugar on top of each brulee and place them under a broiler or hot grill to caramelize the sugar.

    Leave it to cool a little and it is ready to relish.
