Guava Jam

If your kiddo is a fussy eater then try making this guava jam at home without any preservatives or artificial colors! And it tastes delicious too. Guavas are amazingly rich in antioxidants, manganese, vitamin C, potassium, and fiber.

    Ingredients to make Guava Jam:

    5 soft and riped guavas, 2 cups sugar, 3 tbsp lemon juice, and salt as per taste.

    Steps to make Guava Jam:

    1. Firstly wash the guavas thoroughly with clean water and wipe them with a kitchen towl.

    2. Cut them into small pieces.

    3. Take a thick pan, add 4 cups water and bring it to a boil. Now add the chopped guavavs and boil till guava is fully soft and mushy.

    4. Once it cools down then mash the cooked guava nicely and sieve to remove the seeds from it.

    5. Finally add lemon juice, sugar, salt in the pulp and mix it well.

    6. Put a pan on the medium flame and boil the above mixture. Stir it in between. Reduce the flame once the mixture gets thickened making sure you are not overcooking it. Stir it continuously.

    7. Switch off the flame when the mixture is in a jam like consistency

    8. Cool for about 10-15 minutes and pour into clean glass jar

    Yay! Guava jam is ready to be enjoyed with bread/paranthas.
